Rahul gandhi slams 'bulldozer policy'...

A day after a mother and daughter allegedly self-immolated during an anti-encroachment drive in kanpur Dehat, congress MP Rahul gandhi attacked the administration, stating that the "bulldozer policy" had turned into the "face of government's cruelty." The nation, according to gandhi, "does not accept it."

"Dictatorship is what happens when a person's right to life is taken away because of a thirst for power. The event in kanpur has me incredibly disturbed. This "bulldozer policy" has come to symbolise the brutality of the administration. gandhi tweeted in Hindi, "This is not acceptable in India.

Priyanka gandhi Vadra, the general secretary of the congress, also criticised the bjp administration, saying that its "bulldozer blinded by inhumanity has become a threat to sensibility."

"However much you may decry the heartbreaking incident in kanpur, it doesn't matter. We must all speak out against this inhumanity. The victim's family should receive justice, and the offenders should face harsh punishment, she said.

A thatched house caught fire on monday while the police and administration officials were conducting a demolition campaign, killing a lady, 44, and her daughter, 21. The two, according to the villagers, were locked inside and perished in the fire.
