Yogi's orders following shooting death of Atiq-Ashraf...

On saturday night, while being transported by police to a Prayagraj medical college for a checkup, Atiq Ahmad, a gangster-turned-politician, and his brother Ashraf Ahmad were shot dead at close range by three men posing as journalists. This occurred during a media encounter. The distressing video of the incident, which showed the brothers being killed while they were shackled, was extensively shared on social media and on news networks.

Asad Ahmad, who had died in a police encounter in jhansi on april 13, had his final rites done earlier on Saturday. The Umesh Pal murder case led Ahmad, a former Samajwadi party MP, and his brother to Prayagraj, where they appeared in court and were remanded in police custody.

1. According to police commissioner Ramit Sharma, the three attackers—who were quickly apprehended—had joined the throng of media requesting statements from Atiq and Ashraf.

2. Around 10 o'clock at night, when journalists followed the two as they were being led to the hospital by police for a medical checkup, the shooting was captured live on camera. The shooting did not appear to have hurt anyone else.

3. Photos and videos taken at the scene showed the two men, who were shackled together, lying on the ground with blood gathering around them. There were at least two guns there that were reportedly dropped by the attackers, according to the police.
