According to BRS president and chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, who inaugurated the new state-of-the-art secretariat building, it will serve as a testament to and symbolise Telangana's rebuilding, pride, and self-esteem. He called his political rivals "lilliputs" who couldn't comprehend the meaning of rebuilding or digest Telangana's development over the last nine years.

After a grand ceremony on sunday to inaugurate the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar telangana State secretariat, Rao addressed the officials and secretariat staff and lashed out at his political critics for his comments about "rebuilding Telangana" after he took office as the cm following the creation of telangana state in 2014.

Rao recalled how, in the days after the telangana state was created, some individuals attempted to downplay each action he had taken to advance the state. He claimed that there were some "political dwarfs" who maintained that "I was ruining telangana, not acknowledging that it was just the beginning of the process of rebuilding."

When he started building the new secretariat, which would be a magnificent tribute to telangana pride, the cm claimed that the "political dwarfs" became jealous. He pleaded with them not to be jealous of Telangana's progress and development.

"Some dwarfs made fun of me when I talked about reconstructing telangana in 2014. They questioned my definition of "rebuilding." They questioned whether destroying telangana and rebuilding it was the intended outcome. Some individuals questioned whether rebuilding entailed razing old buildings and erecting new ones in their place. They objected to the construction of the new Secretariat. They criticised the fact that rebuilding telangana following the division of ap does not include tearing down old buildings and erecting new ones in their place, Rao recalled as he described the welfare schemes and development initiatives carried out by the trs (now BRS) government during the previous nine years.
