The highest temperature thus far this season to be recorded in the State was reportedly 46.4 degrees Celsius on wednesday at Julurpad in the kothagudem district. As a result of the daytime temperature range of 43.1 to 45 degrees Celsius, as many as 16 mandals entered the alert zone. At Garimellapadu in the neighboring mahabubabad district's Bayyaram district, a temperature of 45.4 was registered.
At khanapur in the khammam district, a maximum temperature of 45.4 degrees Celsius was registered. As a result of the district's nine mandals falling into the danger zone during the daytime temperature range of 43.1 to 45 degrees Celsius. According to reports, 48.6 degrees Celsius was the hottest temperature ever recorded in telangana at bhadrachalam back in 1952. The public stayed inside as the temperature soared, and the streets appeared deserted.
