Students from rural areas of the State are given the same possibilities as their urban counterparts to enrol in prestigious degree programmes in Hyderabad. Thanks to the online and app-based platform degree Online services telangana (DOST).
Over 5,100 students, mostly from rural areas, have received assistance from the DOST to enrol in prestigious colleges for the academic year 2022–2023, including Nizam college, government degree college for Women, Begumpet, government City college, Hyderabad, and telangana Mahila Viswavidyalayam, formerly known as osmania university college for Women, Koti.

According to data from the telangana State Council of Higher Education, of the total number of admissions, 1,520 students, many of whom were from rural backgrounds, enrolled in telangana Mahila Viswavidyalayam colleges, followed by 1,415 students who enrolled in government City college, 1,294 students who enrolled in government degree college for Women, Begumpet, and 915 students who enrolled in Nizam College.

Rural students are no longer restricted to the educational institutions found in their respective home towns because a wide variety of course combinations and colleges are now available on the DOST platform. Instead, they are researching their possibilities and obtaining admission to their top-choice programmes in Hyderabad.
