Collector RV Karnan gave the employees the directive to take the initiative to add those who turn 18 by october 2023 to the voter list. At his chamber at the Collectorate here on Monday, the collector organised a meeting with the representatives of several political parties. Speaking at the event, Karnan announced that the BLOs would finish verifying new voters by june 23. This process had already begun on May 25.

In addition to removing disparities, altering photo images, and changing polling station boundaries, he stated that the rationalisation of polling places would take place from june 24 to July 24. From July 25 to July 31, polling locations would be moved from temples and other religious buildings. On august 2, supplements would be prepared, along with an integrated draught roll and integrated draught voter list.

From august 2 through august 31, objections would be accepted on the draught roll. The final voter list would be updated based on complaints received by september 22 and released on october 4.
