On Monday, singareni Thermal Power Plant (STPP) was recognised for its ecologically friendly mining and energy production methods. The award was given out by the ministers of forestry, A Indrakaran Reddy, and animal husbandry, Talasani srinivas Yadav.

On the occasion of World Environment Day, the State pollution Control Board hosted a presentation where the award was given out. Vishwanatha Raju, Chief of Power Projects at singareni, was given the honour. This honour was given by the State pollution Control Board in appreciation for the outstanding efforts made by the singareni Thermal Plant to implement waste management practises, water and fuel conservation measures, pollution control practises, and green enhancements.


At two different national level conferences, the singareni Thermal Power Station received the Pratibha Puraskar as the best performing plant and Best Fly Ash Utilisation Plant. The Central Board of Irrigation and Power (CBIP) national level conference in delhi honoured the power plant as the best performing plant, while a fly ash management conference in goa honoured it as the best plant for utilising fly ash. director (E&M) D Satyanarayana Rao of singareni got the award for the best performing plant from Union Power minister RK Singh, while AGM K Srinivasulu was given the award for the best fly ash utilisation facility.
