By receiving five "Green apple Awards" in the "International beautiful Buildings" category for the urban and real estate sector from the London-based independent non-profit "The Green Organisation," telangana has reached yet another significant milestone.
The  buildings from telangana that have been awarded by The Green Organization include,  Mozam Jahi Market (in the heritage category – for excellent restoration and reuse),  Durgam Cheruvu Cable Bridge (in the bridge category for the unique design) and Dr. b. r. ambedkar telangana State secretariat Building ( in the aesthetically designed office/workspace building category). The remaining buildings that were awarded include Integrated Command Control Centre of the State police ( in the unique office category ) and Yadagirigutta temple (in the excellent religious structures category).
Municipal Administration and Urban Development Special Chief Secretary Arvind Kumar has been delegated by the State government to accept these prizes at the awards event, which is slated to take place on june 16 in London.
The famous Green apple awards are being given to indian buildings and structures for the first time.  An autonomous non-profit organisation called The Green Organisation was founded in london in 1994 with the goal of identifying, honouring, and spreading environmental best practises throughout the world.
