Every year, in conjunction with the Rath yatra at Jagannath Puri, the Shree Jagannath Swamy Ramgopal Trust organizes the Rath yatra for the deities of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Goddess Subadra. Since 130 years ago, the Trust has regularly organized the Rath yatra from the jagannath temple in General Bazar, Secunderabad.

The temple gates will open at 6.15 am and close at 1 pm for darshan. The Rath yatra procession is then scheduled to leave the temple at 4 p.m., travel through General Bazar, stop at MG Road from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., then travel through Hill Street, Ranigunj, and return to the temple around 4 a.m. the following morning.

Shree Jagannath Swamy Ramgopal Trust's founder family trustee, Purshottam Malani, urged the followers to take note of the times and schedule Darshan appropriately. The founding trustee and family patriarch Dewan Bahadur Seth Ramgopal Malani, who is well recognized for his charitable services to society, celebrated his 100th birthday on the same day as this year's event, he continued.

Due to the Covid-19 epidemic, the annual Jagannath Rath yatra organized by the Shree Jagannath Swamy Ramgopal Trust will not take place in 2021. The Trust declared that by postponing the yatra that year, they would help the government stop the spread of the illness.
