The eagerly anticipated cable-stayed bridge across the River Manair that was built downstream of the lower manair dam on the outskirts of karimnagar town is about to be inaugurated. On wednesday night, the bridge will be officially opened by minister of Municipal Administration and Urban Development KT Rama Rao. Although the approach roads' construction took longer than anticipated, the main bridge's opening was postponed despite having been finished for some time.
The construction of the cable bridge began on february 19, 2018, with a projected cost of Rs. 183 crore. The price rose to Rs. 224 crore. The bridge was built by a Turkish business called Glumark and TATA Projects. Along with the 500-meter cable bridge, a 500-meter road from Sadasivpalli to the bridge and a 300-meter four-lane road from Kaman to the bridge were also built. The completion of the approach roads required the purchase of 3.4 km of property.

A dynamic lighting system and two substantial screens have also been installed at a total cost of Rs. 6 crores. In june 2021, 950 tonnes were loaded onto the bridge's main span as part of a load test and it was successful.
