The worldwide conference on "Plant Biotechnology and Genome Editing" will be held at Kakatiya university (KU), Warangal, from june 27 to 29, according to KU Vice Chancellor Prof. Thatikonda Ramesh. According to the Global wales - wales and telangana Universities Partnership Programme, Aberystwyth university from wales, UK, and this conference are being held in partnership. Vakati Karuna, the secretary of education, and Navin Mittal, the principal secretary for land revenue and registration, will attend the inauguration ceremony on tuesday with the KU VC, who will serve as the chief guest.

The keynote address will be given by Prof. Srinivasan Chandrasegaran of john Hopkins university in the United States. Other notable speakers include Profs. MGK Jones of SABC and Murdoch Universities in Australia, Prof. Luis Mur of Aberystwyth university in the United Kingdom, Prof. RM Sundaram of ICAR-IIRR in Hyderabad, and Dr. Dylan Phillips of Aberystwyth university in the United Kingdom.

Professors Huw Jones and Jennifer Ann Harikrishna of Aberystwyth university in the UK, professor Prakash P. Kumar of the National university of Singapore, and professor T. srinivas Rao, the Registrar of KU, are among the other visitors.

On june 29, there will be a farewell event. The occasion will be presided over by Prof. T. Srinivasa Rao, Registrar of Kakatiya university, with Prof. R. Limbadri, Chairman of TSCHE, Hyderabad, serving as Chief Guest. Prof Vidyavati, former Vice-Chancellor of Kakatiya university, Dr M Sheshu Madhav, director of ICAR-CTRI Rajahmundry, Prof P. Malla Reddy, Dean of the Faculty of Science, KU, Prof R Mallikarjuna Reddy, Co-ordinating officer of the UGC Unit, KU, Prof B suresh Lal, Principal of university College at Kakatiya university, and Harish Lokhun, Market Development Manager of the india - Global wales Programme will also attend the programme.
