Several ex-servicemen joined the party in maharashtra on wednesday, lending strong support to BRS President and chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao's appeal for "Ab ki Baar, Kisan Sarkar." They promised to spread the word about the need for a government that supports farmers since they are farmers' children.

At a ceremony conducted on wednesday at the Dr. baba Saheb Ambedkar Cultural Bhavan in Pune, some 203 former army officers and ex-servicemen joined the BRS in the presence of BRS maharashtra leader Shankaranna Dhondge. They stressed the pressing need for a farmer-friendly central government and oozed confidence that the BRS is the only way it will be feasible.

Speaking at the event, the ex-servicemen declared that they had fought for the country against adversaries on the frontiers and that they would now devote their time to the welfare of the nation's farmers. The movement "Jai Jawan, jai Kisan" received a rallying cry from them.
