A conference of significant party leaders from the southern states will take place in hyderabad on July 9 to discuss the party's preparations for the 2024 lok sabha elections and other topics, according to bjp leader and Union minister G Kishan reddy, who made the announcement on Wednesday. reddy, the recently appointed head of the bjp in telangana, told reporters in delhi that the day-long conference will cover an action plan to boost the party in the southern states.

The telangana Assembly elections that are slated to take place later this year would also be discussed during the meeting, he added. The bjp president J P Nadda, the bjp general secretary B L Santhosh, and other top leaders are anticipated to attend the meeting, which will take place at the bjp telangana headquarters in hyderabad, according to the Union Tourism Minister.

Wednesday's cabinet meeting was not attended by Union minister G. Kishan reddy, who was appointed the day before as the telangana bjp president. Although no official explanation for his absence was given, several leaders feel it may be a sign that he will soon leave the Union cabinet before its anticipated reshuffle. reddy was named president of the BJP's telangana branch on Tuesday. reddy is the Union minister for Culture, Tourism, and Development of the North east Region.
