During the fiscal year 2022–2023, The singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) reported a record net profit of Rs. 2,222 crore, an increase of 81%. The company's net profit for the fiscal year 2021–2022 was Rs. 1,227 crore. Similarly, the company's revenue for the fiscal year increased by 24% to Rs. 33,065 crore. The company's revenue in the 2021–22 fiscal year was Rs. 26,585 crore.

N Sridhar, the chairman and managing director of singareni, issued the annual financial report for the fiscal year 2022–2023 on Friday. He said that the sale of coal contributed Rs. 28, 650 crore to the total revenue and the sale of electricity contributed Rs. 4,415 crore. He said that singareni earned a net profit of Rs. 419 crore in 2013–14, while the most recent financial year recorded the greatest net profit of Rs. 2,222 crore, indicating a startling 430 percent gain in earnings for the firm over the previous nine years.

The CMD predicted that the net profit for the current fiscal year will reach Rs. 4,000 crore if the firm is successful in meeting its goals. With these results, singareni promised to take on additional initiatives and new projects for the benefit of the workforce. According to him, the firm had a 33 percent increase in coal production, a 430 percent increase in net earnings, a 39 percent increase in transportation, and a 177 percent increase in sales after telangana was formed.

In the previous nine years, singareni, according to Sridhar, has grown significantly more than many of the top public sector enterprises. The singareni saw growth of 430 percent over the past nine years, compared to a 241 percent growth rate for Power Grid Corporation, 114 percent growth for Power Finance Corporation, and 86 percent growth for Coal India.
