A. Chandrashekhar, the party's head and a former minister, spoke with bjp mla Eatala on sunday amid rumours that he intends to join the congress party. Chandrashekhar received advice from Rajender, who was just named head of the bjp election management committee for telangana, when he visited him at home. The mla has also been tasked with meeting with the leaders of the opposition and persuading them not to defect. Rajender said that Chandrashekhar was not invited to the local-level function that prime minister Narendra Modi spoke at in warangal on Saturday. In 2021, Chandrashekhar left the congress to join the BJP. He has previously served five terms as a Vikarabad constituency mla between 1985 and 2008. For four times in a row, he was elected from Vikarabad on the telugu desam party (TDP) banner. Later, he joined trs (now BRS), and in 2004 ran as a trs candidate.
