The major regional parties in the states of South india are known to have substantial financial resources. telugu state parties BRS and ycp comfortably placed in the top 5 spots in a new list that was created to identify the wealthiest regional parties in India. With a financial total of Rs 476 crores, BRS is the second-richest regional party in India. Then there is Jagan's YSRCP, which has 456 crores of rupees in funding. Fourth on the list is the Jagan-led party.

Third on the list with Rs 475 crores in funding is the DMK of tamil Nadu. BJD is at the top of the list with funds totaling Rs 692 crores. shivsena of maharashtra has assets of Rs 267 crores, whereas Kejriwal's AAP has assets worth Rs 169 crores. With 168.67 crores in funding, telugu desam party has the largest subscriber base of any party in the telugu states.
