Gopal Kanda acquitted in air hostess Geetika suicide case..!?

Former haryana minister of State for home Gopal Kanda has been acquitted by Delhi's Rouse Avenue court in the 2012 air hostess Geetika suicide case. In 2012, Delhi's Rouse Avenue court acquitted Gopal Kanda, an accused in the famous air hostess Geetika suicide case. Geetika worked as an air hostess in Gopal Kanda's airline company MDLR and committed suicide on 5 august 2012 in ashok Vihar, Delhi.


In her suicide note, Geetika blamed Kanda and Aruna Chadha, a senior manager in his MDLR company, for this step. Kanda had to stay in jail for 18 months in this case. After this, he was granted bail in march 2014. It is said that he got this bail based on the bail granted to co-accused Aruna Chadha from the High Court. About six months after Geetika's death, her mother Anuradha Sharma also committed suicide.


What did Kanda say after being acquitted?

After being acquitted in the case, Gopal Kanda said that there was not a single evidence against me in this case, it was proved in the court today. At the same time, his lawyer RS Malik said that he has faced trial for 11 years. He said that this was a very difficult case. Kanda has reached the court on every date. His conduct during this period has also been very good. 65 witnesses were presented before the court but no one said anything about them. He said that Kanda was already innocent.


Under which sections the charge sheet was filed

In the case of Geetika Sharma's suicide, the delhi police had filed a charge sheet against Gopala Kanda under IPC section 306 (abetment of suicide). Apart from this, the police had also registered a case against him under sections 120B, 201, 466, 468, and 469 of the IPC. However, the high court removed sections 376 and 377 against Kanda. After being acquitted in this case by the Rouse Avenue court, Kanda's legislature has been saved. If he was found guilty in this case, he could have been jailed and could also go to the legislature. Let us tell you that from the time the matter came to the fore, at that time Kanda used to be the minister of State for home in the then cm Bhupinder Singh Hooda's government. After being named in the suicide case, he had to leave his post and had to serve 18 months of imprisonment.


Presently Gopal Kanda is giving his support to the BJP-JJP government, he contested the by-election from the Ellenabad seat. However, he was defeated in this election. At the same time, Gopal Kanda's party Halopa is also included in the NDA.
