No-confidence motion, the prediction came true..!?
The opposition parties are not allowing the Monsoon Session to run because of Manipur Violence. Meanwhile, a no-confidence motion against the government is being brought in the lok sabha by india (Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance), an alliance of opposition parties. The Modi government has a clear majority in the lok sabha, so the government needs to be scared. The same thing happened five years ago. A no-confidence motion was brought against prime minister narendra modi by the opposition. At that time, narendra modi had predicted that the opposition would get a chance to move a no-confidence motion against the government in 2023 as well.
Speaking in parliament five years ago, narendra modi said, "I wish you the best of luck again so that you prepare so much that you get a chance to bring a motion of no confidence again in 2023." Hearing this, the ruling party MPs joked that the opposition said that this is a matter of arrogance. In response to this, narendra modi said, "It's a matter of dedication. It's a result of ego that you're 40 out of 400. It's a result of service. You came here (pointing to the bench of the ruling party) and sat down. Where did you get to, you're living in a mixed world. You won't be able to talk for long."
