Manipuri women expressed their support for tamil Nadu as a state that is safe for women in a potent rally that took place in the Dadabad neighborhood of Coimbatore. Participants from Manipur came together to protest the federal government in order to denounce the recent violence that occurred in Manipur.
A disturbing video depicting violence against women in Manipur emerged, sparking more attacks and the vandalization of their homes, giving the protest more traction. These ladies, who were concerned for their safety, received support in tamil Nadu and applauded the state for providing a relatively safe atmosphere for women. women from Manipur used the event as a forum to discuss the difficulties they have in their own state. They were also able to emphasize the significance of having a sense of security and protection in their environment. In sharp contrast to their experiences back home, tamil Nadu's image as a state that prioritizes women's safety and wellbeing stood out.

"We are deeply grateful to the people of tamil Nadu for welcoming us with open arms and giving us a sense of security," one of the Manipur participants who spoke during the protest said. It has been horrifying to witness the brutality and assaults on women in Manipur, so we are grateful to have found safety here. "The atmosphere in tamil Nadu is completely different from what we have experienced in Manipur," a separate demonstrator continued. We feel appreciated and safe here. It gives me hope to see tamil Nadu's citizens stand in solidarity with us and denounce the violence in our state.
