Late on thursday night, low-lying portions of the district headquarters were hit by floodwater from the Rallavagu, forcing inhabitants to leave their houses. Following rainfall in upstream regions, the town's Ramnagar, lic Colony, Balajinagar, ntr Colony, and Aditya Enclave were partially submerged by flood waters of the Rallavagu, a tributary of the Godavari. The colonies experienced knee-deep water. Residents had already been warned about the flooding by municipal and tax officials.

At Gudipet in the hajipur mandal, excess water from the Sripada yellampalli project was released into the godavari river at a rate of more than 9 lakh cusecs. Godavari's residential areas were drowned as a result of Rallavagu's floodwaters being unable to cross its banks. An extremely little brook that runs between Ramnagar and ntr Colony was also flooding the communities. Visits to the regions affected by the rain were made by mancherial MLA Diwakar Rao, chairperson P Rajaiah, commissioner maruti Prasad, and Tahsildar Rajeshwar. Rao promised to offer every assistance to the flood-affected family.

According to collector B Santosh, 12 relief facilities have been set up around the district. He said that 970 people had already received housing. He suggested that anybody with complaints get in touch with the Collectorate's control room, number 08736-250501. If there are any issues with the electricity, they should dial 79016 28369.
