The State government has chosen to combine the telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) with the government, a decision that will benefit more than 46,000 employees. The State cabinet, which convened here on Monday, decided in favour of this. Following the lengthy conversation, the administration also resolved to introduce a bill during the upcoming assembly session, which starts on Thursday.

All 46,746 TSRTC personnel will be regarded as government employees as soon as the Bill is enacted. All advantages offered to government workers in other departments would be available to them as well. In the former hyderabad State's NSR-RTD (Nizam State rail & Road Transport Department), a division of Nizam State Railway, the telangana rtc was originally founded in 1932 with 27 vehicles and 166 staff.

In accordance with the Road Transport Corporations Act of 1950, the andhra pradesh state road transport corporation (APSRTC) was founded on january 11, 1958. On june 3, 2015, two distinct administrative entities of rtc in andhra pradesh and telangana began operating following the division of Andhra Pradesh.

As a result, TSRTC was founded by the telangana government on april 27, 2016, in accordance with the Road Transport Corporation Act, 1950. As of april 2022, TSRTC had a fleet of 9,384 buses and 46,746 personnel. In the State, there are 364 bus stops, and 98 depots serve 11 different districts.
