A guy who earlier pretended to be the personal secretary of telangana minister K. T. Rama Rao and andhra pradesh Chief minister Y. S. jagan mohan reddy was detained by police in srikakulam district for obtaining, having, and transporting ganja (cannabis). The 28-year-old was discovered to be in control of 24 kg of dried marijuana. Nagaraju Budumuru, an inhabitant of Yavvaripeta in the district of srikakulam, had purchased the marijuana from nearby odisha and intended to ship it to Mumbai.
In accordance with the relevant provisions of the Narcotic drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, srikakulam police filed a complaint against him and launched an investigation. The offender even claimed to be an MBA graduate and a former Ranji Trophy player, according to the police. The Andhra cricket Association (ACA) has refuted these assertions, nevertheless. Earlier arrests of Nagaraju had occurred before. The conman apparently has 40 criminal cases pending against him and has deceived other victims in the past.

The anti-cybercrime officer noted that the caller said that the cm wanted to speak with the MD.
The accused got in touch with the MD under the guise of the andhra pradesh cm after the staff member gave him the MD's telephone number and requested Rs 12 lakh from the electronics retail chain to sponsor a cricketer's uniform. In order to have the money released, the accused supplied phoney papers under the Andhra cricket Association's name and used an email address that seemed to belong to a cricket player. Later, the businessman realised he had been duped, and in january he reported it to the police.
The culprit was previously detained by the telangana police in 2021 after he pretended to be the state minister for industry and information technology, KT Rama Rao, personal secretary. He is accused of defrauding nine businesses of Rs. 40 lakhs.
