Finally, the long-awaited electric buses are arriving in Hyderabad. After inspecting the prototype, telangana State Road Transport Corporation authorities announced that 25 E-buses will soon be in service in the city. There will be 50 AC buses in all, of which 30 will go along the IT corridor and the remaining 20 would take travellers to the airport.
The E-buses are loaded with a variety of cutting-edge innovations that go well with the urban environment. There will be 35 seats on each bus, each with a charging station, a seat belt, a panic button, and a vehicle tracking system. To show destination information, there will be four LED screens and three CCTV cameras.

The fire Detection Suppression System installed in the buses will help to avoid fire mishaps. These buses can go up to 225 kilometres (km) on a full charge and can recharge from zero to one hundred in two to three hours. With these 50 AC buses included, the TSRTC will eventually purchase 1,300 vehicles (450 non-ac electric buses), of which 500 will be delivered this fiscal year. watch out this space for more updates in this regard.
