After the general elections in 2024, it appears that the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) wants to take the role of kingmaker. After the elections, a coalition government will be established at the centre, according to Telangana's minister of Handlooms and Textiles, KT Rama Rao. He also highlighted that no one could become prime minister without the backing of the BRS.

The minister lambasted prime minister Narendra Modi for his lack of contributions to the growth of weavers during the Chenetha Vaarotsavalu programme conducted as part of National Handloom Day Celebrations in Pochampalli, yadadri Bhongir district, underlining the implementation of GST on handlooms.

Additionally, he accused Modi of doing this by dismantling important organisations like the All india Handloom Board, All india Power Loom Board, All india Handicraft Board, and other programmes intended to advance the welfare and advancement of weavers. He said that no prime minister had made such a mistake since Independence and that this choice had resulted in serious harm.

The situation won't improve as long as Modi remains the prime minister, and the weaving community will continue to experience prejudice throughout the nation. The people should support BRS President and chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao, who has the courage and ability to provide finances for the development of telangana State, in the next elections, and there should undoubtedly be change at the federal level, ktr remarked.

Leaders from the telangana Congress and bjp were attacked by the minister for their failure to obtain funding from the Centre and were characterised as being submissive to the authorities in Delhi.
