Bharat Gogavale started his political career by contesting panchayat elections. He was elected unopposed as
Sarpanch from Pimpalwadi. At that time there was a congress government in the state. In 1992, Gogavale also
sought a ticket from the congress to contest for the post of panchayat Samiti, but did not get it.
Gogavale fought as an independent. After this he joined Shiv Sena. After this he contested the Zilla Parishad
elections. He was also elected to the Raigarh Zilla Parishad twice. At that time shiv sena was emerging fast in the
politics of Maharashtra.
For the first time in 2009, shiv sena fielded Gogavale in the assembly elections from Mahad seat of Raigad.
Gogavale managed to win the seat. He also won from Mahad seat in 2014 and 2019.
In 2019, there was speculation that he would become a minister in the uddhav government, but the ncp vetoed it,
after which his relationship with uddhav thackeray deteriorated. He played a major role in the rebellion with
Shinde. He was declared a whip of shiv sena in Guwahati.
However, the supreme court declared it invalid. Aditi Tatkare becoming a minister is being told the reason behind
Gogavale's displeasure. Recently Aditi of ncp has been made a minister in the Shinde government.
Aditi is also an mla from Raigarh and she had a figure of thirty-six from Gogavale when she was a minister in the
uddhav government.
