The National Commission for women denounced the alleged beating and nude parading of a lady in Rajasthan's Pratapgarh district on Saturday. In Rajasthan's Pratapgarh area, a tribal lady was allegedly assaulted and displayed nude by her husband and in-laws. After a video went viral, the incident was made public.

Taking to ‘X’ the NCW said, “NCW vehemently condemns the harrowing incident in Pratapgarh, Rajasthan. A woman was molested, stripped, and recorded on video. Despite it happening two days ago, police inaction is unacceptable. @sharmarekha (NCW chairperson) has instructed the state’s DGP to promptly arrest the culprits and invoke necessary IPC provisions. We demand a comprehensive report within five days”.

Eight suspects have been apprehended for their roles in this crime, according to Umesh Mishra, the director general of police in Rajasthn, who also stated that the woman's husband has also been held. Ten suspects have been booked in total for this case. According to the pertinent legal provisions, a case has been filed against the accused, according to the DGP. The two more suspects are being sought for, according to DGP Mishra.

According to DGP Umesh Mishra, the event happened on thursday in the Pratapgarh district's Nichalkota village of Pahada Gramme Panchayat, which is within the jurisdiction of Dhariyavad police Station. A year ago, the victim got married. She reportedly moved in with a different man in the hamlet.

JP Nadda, the president of the Bharatiya Janata Party, appeared on "X" and questioned the state administration about the rise in crimes against women there. "The Pratapgarh, rajasthan, video is horrific. What's worse is that rajasthan has no form of government at all. The remaining time is spent in delhi appeasing one dynasty while the cm and Ministers are occupied resolving factional disputes. The state's utter disregard for the problem of women's protection is understandable. There are reports of harassment of women every single day. The Rajasthani people will teach the state government a lesson, according to Nadda.

Ashok Gehlot, the chief minister of rajasthan, had earlier written on X, "The ADG Crime was despatched to the crime scene promptly and we have asked the police to take harsh action against the offenders in line with the law. These types of criminals have no place in a civilised society. To guarantee swift administration of justice, the case will be transferred to a fast track court.
