On Saturday, V. Satyanarayana assumed control as the district's police commissioner. He was greeted at the event by the commissionerate's employees and police officers. Satyanarayana was chosen as a DSP in 1999 and given the IPS designation in 2011. He has previously held several positions at Kurnool, east Godavari, Hyderabad, Karimnagar, and Ramagundam.

He is now employed as a member of the Deputy Inspector General of police (DIG) cadre. The position of joint commissioner for Rachakonda has been vacated by Satyanarayana. Speaking to media, Satyanarayana said that the nizamabad commissionerate will prioritise the security of women. Law and order will be upheld in light of the impending assembly elections, he added, adding that POCSO cases would also be given priority.
