For the first time in its history, the indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has launched the Aditya L1 solar probe satellite. The Aditya L1 satellite, which was launched yesterday morning at 11.50 am by the PSLV XL C57 rocket from the Satishthavan launch pad in Srihirikota, Andhra Pradesh, was successfully placed into the Earth orbit and now its first Earth orbit has also been successfully raised. Having achieved a historic feat with the landing of Chandrayaan-3, isro is gearing up for the next milestone in history with the Aditya L1. Aditya L1 Project director is Nigar Shaji. He is a native of Sengottai, South kasi district of tamil Nadu.
Nigar Shaji, who studied from Class I to XII at Thiru Ramamantram government Girls Higher Secondary school in Sengottai, pursued her BSc in Electronics and Communication Engineering at tirunelveli government college of Engineering due to her passion for science. He joined isro in 1987 and currently resides in Bangalore. At this stage, chief minister Stalin has expressed his appreciation to Aditya L1 Program director of isro Nigar Shahji. In this regard, chief minister Stalin said in his X page, “I am happy to congratulate Nikar Shaji, a tamil woman who was born in Senkottai of tenkasi district and has risen to become the project director of Aditya L1, India's first spacecraft to explore the sun.

Mylaswamy Annadurai served as the program director of Chandrayaan-1, India's first spacecraft to the moon. It is noteworthy that he also belongs to tamil Nadu.
