Parents of two Muslim pupils in Shivamogga, karnataka, filed a complaint with the state education Department after learning that a teacher had reportedly advised them to "go to Pakistan." According to reports, the event took place at a Tipu nagar urdu school. The teacher refuted the charges. According to media sources, the teacher's comments were made because she was concerned because the fifth-grade children were fighting with one another.

The teacher is from Telangana, Hyderabad, and has moved to karnataka recently. The karnataka Department of school education and Literacy has moved the teacher, manjula Devi, and opened an internal investigation into the incident in response to a complaint by leader A Nazrullah. According to Nazrullah's accusation, manjula reprimanded the two pupils and informed them that india was "not your country; this is a country of Hindus." You ought to visit Pakistan, according to a story in The indian Express.

After the event, the pupils told their parents when they got home from school, who then alerted the local police. The block education officer opened an inquiry after receiving a complaint, and they produced a report. A teacher in Uttar Pradesh was caught on camera telling students to smack their Muslim classmate just days before to the event in Karnataka.
