It has been reported that the DMK leadership has stripped the party posts of minister Senji Mastan's son Mokhtiar ali and his son-in-law Rizwan after they were involved in various irregularities by giving positions to their family members. Senji Mastan is the DMK Secretary of Villupuram North district and the minister of Minority Welfare and Overseas Tamils Welfare Department. Dindivanam, Senchi and Mylam assembly constituencies were suppressed. Since he took charge as a minister, there have been many complaints. A few months ago, minister Senji Mastan's brother Naseer was removed from the post of DMK secretary of Senji city. In this case, a notification was released from the DMK leadership. Mokhtiar ali Mastan, the Villupuram North district Information technology Team Coordinator, has been relieved of the responsibility and Romian has appointed Senchi Perumpugai village in his place.
Similarly, Rizwan, who is the deputy organizer of the Villupuram North district Sports Development Team, has been removed from the charge. In his place, Senji has been appointed Sheikh who lives in the next village of Paliyampattu on Kapur Saqib Street. It is noteworthy that Rizwan is the son-in-law of the deposed minister Senji Mastan. Also, the DMK leadership has directed that the existing executives should work with the newly appointed executive. The main reason for their loss of office was that during the last local government elections, he gave seats to those who came from alternative parties and gave most of the responsibilities to his family members. It is said that this action has been taken following various complaints including the resignation of 13 DMK councilors from the city council meeting last month against the administrative activities of Tindivanam Municipality regarding the Marakanam garbage collection issue. It has been reported that action is likely to be taken against minister Mastan soon.
