Ganesh Chaturthi, a holiday extensively observed in telangana and around the nation, has been designated a holiday by the state's administration. ghmc Mayor Gadwal vijayalakshmi said yesterday that great preparations are being made for the Ganesh Navaratri festival.

The Ganesh festival and immersion programme review meeting was presided over by the Mayor on wednesday at the ghmc headquarters in this city. srilatha Shobhan Reddy, the deputy mayor of the ghmc, Commissioner Ronald Rose, the district collectors of Rangareddy and Medchel, representatives of the Bhagyanagar Ganesh festival Committee, and representatives from the police, HMDA, R&B, Metro, Water Board, Health, and fire departments all attended the meeting.
