Over 200 attendees to the forthcoming G20 summit will get silver badges shaped like the indian emblem "Ashoka Chakra," thanks to Karimnagar's famed silver Filigree, which is renowned for its beautiful workmanship. The G20 meeting will take place in New delhi on saturday and Sunday.
Through the telangana State Handicrafts Development Corporation, The silver Filigree of karimnagar Handicrafts Welfare Society obtained this production contract four months ago. Delegates from 20 different nations will wear these distinguishing badges on their outerwear during the summit.

The group was also permitted to put up a booth at the summit, which was a big step. The collection of well-known indian crafts on exhibit will be supplemented by some exquisite silver filigree masterpieces on this platform. Visitors to the summit will have the opportunity to stop by these stalls.

Ivanka Trump, the daughter of former American President Donald Trump, previously put up a shop in hyderabad selling silver filigree from karimnagar, which was given Geographical Indication (GI) designation in 2007. Gadde ashok Kumar, general secretary of SFK karimnagar Handicrafts Welfare Society, expressed his excitement at the chance to create silver badges for the delegates in an interview with india Herald.

This accomplishment by the association puts indian art on display across the world in addition to highlighting the outstanding craftsmanship found in silver filigree.
