The fourth day of nonstop, intense rain in the city left many residential areas submerged in water, and several water bodies reached full tank levels, causing water to spill onto the roads and into residences, apartments, and businesses, creating hardship for the residents. Although the amount of rain has decreased since friday morning to drizzles in several regions of the city, the unfavorable weather has persisted, and additional rain is predicted in other places.
The hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB) made the decision to raise two crest gates to a height of one foot on friday night due to rising water levels in the Himayatsagar reservoir. The Osman Sagar (Gandipet) reservoir's water levels are also being closely watched by the Water Board, with the prospect of raising the crest gates as inflows continue to rise. The musi river and villages downstream of Himayatsagar have been warned by the authorities to take the appropriate steps.

Numerous areas of hyderabad, including Nagole, LB nagar, Saroornagar, Meerpet, Padma Colony in Nallakunta, Moosapet, Suraram, Quthbullapur, Jeedimetla, Praghathi nagar in Nizampet, and other areas of the city, experienced waterlogging as a result of the persistent rain. Colonies near tanks and other bodies of water, where either the lakes were overflowing or the sluice gates were insufficient, were particularly at risk.

Greater hyderabad Municipal CorporationCommissioner D Ronald Rose along with EVDM director Prakash reddy conducted inspections in various areas affected by the heavy rains and he said people not to buy houses or apartments in lakebed areas. Most of them easily get flooded as they are low-lying areas. Gajularamaram gets flooded and inundated with water and the vehicular movement is closed too. Of course, it's easy to blame the consumer and at the same time, ghmc also should avoid giving permission to build houses in that area.
