A complaint has been filed in the Chief Judicial Magistrate’s court (CJM Court) in muzaffarpur court of Bihar

against chief minister nitish kumar, Excise Commissioner Vinod Singh Gunjiyal and all the Excise

Superintendents of the state, which has been accepted by the court. Advocate Sushil Singh had sought the figures

of deaths due to poisonous liquor under RTI, in response to which it was told that 243 people have died so far.

After this reply, advocate Sushil Singh filed a complaint in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate.

Charged with culpable homicide

In the complaint letter, the advocate has accused chief minister nitish kumar and other officials for the death of

243 people due to the implementation of the prohibition law incorrectly and without awareness. Advocate Sushil

Singh has filed a complaint against nitish kumar and other officials under sections 304,120 (B), 34 of IPC on

charges of culpable homicide not amounting to murder of 243 people, which has been accepted by the court. The

next hearing regarding this matter will be held on 16 September. It has been said in the complaint letter that the

liquor prohibition law was implemented in 2016. Before that neither preparations were made nor people were

made aware.

'There are two types of prohibition law in Bihar'

It has been said in the letter that big leaders of bihar, big bureaucrats, capitalists, doctors, engineers and mafia are

enjoying expensive liquor and partial action is being taken against them by the accused. Poor people of bihar are

dying and some are getting physically harmed by drinking cheap and poisonous liquor and lakhs of people from

the remaining poor section of bihar are being sent to jail. It is clear from this that there are two types of prohibition

law in Bihar. There is one law for the resourceless in bihar and one for the rich and this law has given rise to a

new type of crime in Bihar.
