On saturday, the district congress staged a poster release event at Charminar. The city police interrupted the event, alleging a lack of license for the program, which created tension. Multiple congress leaders were detained by police. The party published a poster denouncing prime minister Narendra Modi and chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao as "Thodu Dongalu" (Thieves in arms). The congress leaders and the police officers got into a heated confrontation, and the congress leaders claimed that the police tried to rip the posters off. Additionally, they claimed that police officers were BRS and AIMIM spies.
Madhu Yashki Goud, the chairwoman of the PCC campaign committee, was among those detained. The head of the hyderabad DCC, sameer Waliullah, vehemently denounced the arrest of leaders and charged arbitrary behavior. "Police don't have the authority to rip off and steal our posters. Only to appease their political masters, some bureaucrats engaged in extremely unpleasant behavior, claimed Sameer.
