On Sunday, Mokila police detained three persons, including the proprietor of Varalakshmi Tiffin Centre, on suspicion of importing narcotics. Varalakshmi Tiffins Centre is a well-known destination for visitors and young people in the city. It is situated on Food Lane, DLF Street, Gachibowli. However, the hotel has lately attracted notice when cops recovered narcotics worth about Rs 14 lakh. Along with Venkata shiva Sai Kumar, Anuradha, a consumer-cum-peddler, prabhakar Reddy, the proprietor of the tiffin facility, Rs. 97,500 in cash, three automobiles, and five mobile phones were also taken into custody by the police.
Anuradha, the main suspect, has been buying narcotics in goa for a few years, according to the police. She began using public transit to deliver the narcotics to hyderabad in order to make money. She became acquaintances with prabhakar and Venkata at this period. They started peddling narcotics in the neighbourhood, such as tablets of cocaine, MDMA, and Ecstasy. According to the police, they used to get together at Mokila to talk about the distribution of narcotics.
A cocaine supply arrangement was being finalised when the arrest occurred. The culprits were captured in Indrareddynagar by the Special Operations Team (SOT) of Rajendra nagar and the Mokila police after receiving a tip-off.
A case has been registered while the cops have imposed section 21(C) (Punishment for contravention in relation to manufactured drugs and preparations) 22(C) (Punishment for Consumption of drugs), 29 (imprisonment of 10 years) of Narcotic drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act-1985.

Meanwhile, the cops have requested the citizens to inform them if they have any information related to Drug suppliers by dialling 100 or by calling 9490617444.
