Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has introduced 25 Electric Green Metro Luxury AC buses to the city to promote environmentally friendly commuting. There are 50 green Metro Luxury AC services in total, including this fleet. The fleet will be made available to city commuters starting on september 23 after the buses were formally launched on wednesday by Transport minister Puvvada ajay Kumar and TSRTC VC&MD, V.C. Sajjanar.
Ajay Kumar, who was speaking at the event, stated that as the city keeps growing in all four directions, the commuting services are being enhanced and connected to the metro services, and eventually all forms of transport will be possible with only one card. The use of electric vehicles, he claimed, is still lower in our nation than in other countries, despite the fact that the electric age is widespread. In order to ensure a pollution-free environment for future generations, he stated, electric vehicles must be used.

According to Sajjanar, there is a strong demand for electric AC buses in the city, and buses operating on the airport route have an occupancy ratio (OR) of 80%. The rtc officials have been working hard to make these vehicles available to the public shortly, according to Olectra CMD pradeep Rao.
