IT and industries minister KT Rama Rao has been asked to speak at the 2023 Norman E. Borlaug international Dialogue from october 24 to 26 in Des Moines, Iowa, US, and will shortly present Telangana's achievements in the agricultural sector there. In his invitation to the minister, Terry E. Branstad, president of the World Food prize Foundation and an ambassador, claimed that the Minister's viewpoint and voice will "add unmatchable value to the Borlaug Dialogue."

As we bring together dynamic paradigm changers who enhance global food systems and lessen global food insecurity, it would be an honour to include you at the Dialogue, Branstad added. The minister expressed his gratitude for the invitation and said it would be a fantastic opportunity to highlight Telangana's agricultural sector's achievements under the capable leadership of chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao.

S Niranjan Reddy, the minister of Agriculture, has also been asked to speak at the occasion in addition to the minister of Industries. The discussion would involve thousands of virtual participants from across the world in addition to more than 1,200 in-person visitors, with the goal of elevating food and agricultural solutions that may improve the quality, quantity, and accessibility of food for everyone. The setting is set for a future-oriented gathering focused on nourishment, regeneration, innovation, resilience, empowerment, and mobilisation after the 2022 emphasis on feeding a vulnerable world amidst food systems shocks, according to the event's organisers.


The year 2023's theme, "Harnessing Change," is both a celebration of past achievements and a call to action motivated by Dr. Norman Borlaug's legacy. The World Food prize Foundation has recognised individuals, such as Borlaug Field Award winners and World Food prize laureates, who harness change and constructively influence the future of global food and agriculture, they added.

The "Borlaug Dialogue," also known as the Norman E. Borlaug international Dialogue, brings together people from more than 65 nations to discuss contemporary concerns pertaining to global food security and nutrition. They noted that the 2023 Borlaug Dialogue will bring together world leaders, professionals, educators, and others to talk about revolutionary ideas to create a sustainable, just, and healthy food system.
