A. revanth reddy, the head of the TPCC, harshly condemned K.T. Rama Rao, the working president of the BRS, for his remarks denying permission for demonstrations or protests in hyderabad or telangana against the arrest of tdp leader N. Chandrababu Naidu. Rama Rao's power to refuse permission based on the issue's relation to andhra pradesh was questioned by revanth, who stressed that it is a basic right of citizens to demonstrate anywhere in the nation.

Revanth reddy claimed that residents of ap origin in hyderabad have the right to vote, pay taxes to the government, and are thus entitled to protest about problems that are important to them. He emphasised that NRIs from telangana attended protests in support of telangana outside the white house in the US during the telangana statehood movement, and they were not refused permission since the subject had a connection to India.

He rejected Rama Rao's allegations that permitting protests will cause law and order issues in hyderabad by asserting that the state government and the police department are in charge of upholding law and order. revanth proposed that authorities may demand pledges from protestors to undertake nonviolent demonstrations and penalise them if they broke this agreement.

Revanth indicated that the party's high leadership is open to deviating from the "one family, one ticket" rule on a case-by-case basis, based on the candidates' chances of winning, with regard to ticket distribution for congress candidates in the 2018 elections. He gave the example of malkajgiri MLA Mynampally Hanumantha Rao, who asked the high command for a seat for his son Rohith and received it.

Revanth reassured that the party is dedicated to ensuring appropriate representation for OBCs, SCs, and STs in response to requests from OBC leaders within congress for quota participation in ticket distribution for assembly elections. The Central election Committee (CEC), he added, would convene shortly to decide on candidates for the telangana state assembly elections, and the names will be made public in stages.
