Telangana athletes who continued to create an impression in the ongoing Asian Games in china and brought home medals that made the State and the country proud have been praised by chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao. Agasara Nandini, a student from telangana State Residential Welfare Educational Institutions, won a bronze medal in the Heptathlon event, while indian boxer Nikhat Zareen gained a well-deserved bronze medal at the Asian Games.

The chief minister praised Nikhat Zareen and Agasara Nandini for their remarkable efforts and for bringing honour to the State as he expressed his happiness over these sporting triumphs by Telangana's athletes. He praised Telangana's Gurukul schools for their contribution in developing intellectual and athletic talent. He emphasised that Telangana's athletes had made the entire country and the State proud.

The chief minister reaffirmed the State government's dedication to supporting sports through fostering and developing Telangana's youth's skills. More young athletes will be inspired to succeed on both national and international stages, he reaffirmed, as this assistance will continue. Nikhat Zareen, the reigning world champion, lost in a fiercely contested semifinal match on Sunday, ending her 19th Asian Games run with a bronze medal.
