BJP and JDS politics on Cauvery: chief minister Siddaramaiah has accused the bjp and JDS party of playing politics on the issue of Cauvery water to tamil Nadu. Speaking to reporters at Vidhansouda, he said that the opposition parties, who are demanding his resignation, are saying things that were not said in the all-party meeting. Our argument will be presented more forcefully in the upcoming meeting on Cauvery river drainage. It has been argued that water cannot be drained in court. However, our application was rejected. We had filed an appeal challenging the orders of both the Cauvery Water Control Committee and the Management Authority. The supreme court rejected our and tamil Nadu's petition. tamil Nadu had asked for 24 thousand cusecs of water. Then asked for 7200 cusecs. We cannot even give five thousand cusecs of water. He argued that we don't have water and the court did not agree with that.
