Reportedly cm Siddaramaiah said that former supreme court Justices have suggested that an advisory committee should be formed to advise on inter-state water disputes. Following the order of the Cauvery Management Authority, the decision to form a Water Disputes Advisory Committee was taken after a meeting with former supreme court Justices at the CM's residence on Friday. He suggested that an advisory committee should be made not only for Cauvery but also for all state irrigation issues. The cm said that this committee will help in the inter-state river dispute. The authority said that 3 thousand cusecs of water should be released. It has been argued that water should not be given to us. But they said that the old dues should be paid. He has suggested filing a revision petition before the supreme court and the authorities. Along with that, the justices have advised to mention Mekedatu Dam before the supreme Court. Mention must be made of Goat Dam. tamil Nadu will not be affected by Mekedatu Dam. Former justices have suggested that a mention should be made in the supreme court about Mekedatu.
