To keep up with Hyderabad's technological march, the Old City is now prepared to join the tech revolution with the construction of an iconic IT tower at a cost of Rs 700 crore in Malakpet. Up to 50,000 jobs might be created by the IT tower, which will be erected on a plot of land that is around 11 acres in size and has a built-up space of about 15 lakh square feet.
The Old City's Moosarambagh neighbourhood in malakpet will be dominated by the 30-story skyscraper known as iTEK Nucleus, which will have a sky lounge with a 360-degree view of Hyderabad. It will be a gold-rated building with certification from the indian Green Building Council. The tower was created by the Old City-based architectural firm Mir Architects & Engineers and is being developed by the telangana government through telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC) and Finczars consortium, which includes Hyderabad-based Finczars and Mumbai-based varma Constructions as well as Gurugram-based YFC Projects.

Speaking during the ceremony to lay the project's foundation stone, ktr said that it will be finished in 36 months, become the Old City's new stylish emblem, and tower above Malakpet. He assured the crowd that his administration would make sure that IT behemoths establish offices there, greatly enhancing the Old City ecology. "The malakpet IT Tower will be designed to promote innovation and collaboration, bringing together experts to develop new technologies and applications," he declared.
