Users on social media have been drawn in by a new viral video from Hyderabad's LuLu Mall. A large group of people are shown in the video eating snacks while shopping and then departing the store without paying for their purchases of food. This event occurred shortly after terrible traffic jams overtook the area near LuLu Mall, further drawing attention to the difficulties encountered by both customers and officials. Internet users voiced their outrage at the apparent contempt for the new mall, especially on social media sites like Twitter.

One homeowner defended hyderabad citizens on twitter and blamed looters or recent arrivals to the city for their activities. The footage itself shows empty containers and partly eaten food lying about the mall's racks. Security guards and CCTV cameras were there, yet they were unable to stop this embarrassing incident. Samosas, cookies, soft drinks, and fruits were among the foods that were either completely or half devoured before being dumped on the mall floor. The place was littered with bottles, wrappers, and other food-related material.

While some social media users decried these customers' actions, others expressed regret that such a situation had arisen at a location that represented the city abroad. Locals protected their neighbours and blamed the problem on immigrants, but outsiders advocated against xenophobia and questioned the validity of such allegations. While locals blamed the migrants for their neighbours' misdeeds and supported their fellow residents, outsiders retorted, "Call that behaviour out without the xenophobia. How do you know that was exclusively done by immigrants?
