In addition to dealing with the pothole-filled roads in the AOC region, residents and commuters in secunderabad are also looking at alternate routes since the absence of post-monsoon repair work has converted the stretches into a series of speed breakers followed by potholes. The secunderabad Cantonment Board (SCB) has been contacted by citizens to prioritise repairs since the AOC gates connect major military sites and portions of the city.
Daily commuter Nandini P. expressed her dislike about driving on the AOC route. "The speed bumps just before them are a recipe for catastrophe, and the potholes are so deep that they may ruin cars. Before a significant accident occurs, it is imperative that authorities take action, she argued.

Another driver who often uses the AOC routes, Boja Karthikeya, said: "The problem is not only a nuisance; it's a real safety danger. To prevent such accidents, we require immediate repairs and a long-term solution.
A recent cycling accident caused by dangerous road conditions, according to Marredpally resident Octavio Souza, has increased the need for repairs. The loose sand only makes the road worse because many athletes and bikers frequent this region in the early morning. Neck or spine discomfort has becoming a prevalent concern for individuals who travel these routes frequently, he added.

Waheed Osman, a different commuter, claimed that he has begun to avoid the route and instead makes a lengthy diversion through the Tukaram Gate or Malkajgiri.
Ramakrishna J., a SCB civil nominee, stated that the Board was waiting for the monsoon to pass before holding talks with the military leadership and starting construction on roads. "We will discuss the deplorable state of the roads at AOC as well as the entrenchment road with the head of the Cantonment Board shortly. Patchworks had already been completed a few months prior, but work would soon begin on a permanent solution, he added.
