On Friday, the freshly restored historic mansion housing HH Nawab Mir Mahbub ali Khan Bahadur, the sixth Nizam of hyderabad, was officially opened. The wardrobe, which is housed at the Purani Haveli Palace (Nizam's Museum), was opened by former municipal police commissioner AK Khan.

On the 90th birthday of the late Walashan Mukarram Jah Bahadur, the VIIIth Nizam of hyderabad, the launch was staged in honor of Mukarram Jah School's Founder's Day. It is said to be the biggest wardrobe in the world and is a standalone display with two parallel closets that are each 176 feet long, made of the finest burma teak, and built on two floors.

The reception was organized for the dignitaries by MA Faiz Khan and Faiz Bin Jung, trustees of the Mukarram Jah Trust for education and Learning. Speaking during the event, history student AK Khan discussed the Nizams of Hyderabad's contributions to the area of education, including the establishment of Mukarram Jah school and a top-notch secular institution called Osmania Institution.

He emphasized the need to study many languages, as stated in the NEP, and gave pupils advice on how to develop four habits: first, develop the habit of writing; second, concentrate on intrinsic values. By contrasting children with pencils that had ideals like leading from within to write their futures, he provided an example of this. Lastly, he stressed the importance of teachers as handlers in teaching to never shy away from starting over again in life a low phase.

About the walk-in wardrobe

The Nizam never wore the same outfit again, and after use, his clothing was donated. As a result, there is no reliable documentation of his outfit. The remaining portions of his clothing are utilized to emphasize the varied costumes worn by men, women, and children in hyderabad in the absence of any of his own possessions. There are at present more than ten buildings in the Purani Haveli. The main building which accommodates the Nizam’s museum is flanked by two long wings running parallel to each other. The wardrobe had a hand-operated lift to reach sections and it still exists. It has over 100 almirahs
