According to a joint statement issued by South Korea's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Defense, a South Korean military plane flew 220 people from Tel Aviv airport to Seoul air Base in Gyeonggi Province on saturday evening, the Korean Herald and NHK reported.


Among the 220 people who were rescued safely, five are Singaporeans, 51 are Japanese and 163 are South Koreans, it has been reported. A KC-330 Cygnus transport aircraft of the South Korean air Force was used in the rescue mission, the Korean Herald reported. This aircraft can carry 230 passengers at a time. A spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has confirmed that "five Singaporeans" were safely evacuated from Tel Aviv, israel on a military transport flight organized to evacuate citizens of the Republic of Korea (ROK).
