Maharashtra chief minister and Balasahebyanchi shiv sena President Eknath Shinde on tuesday bowed before
the picture of Chhatrapati shivaji Maharaj and vowed to fight till the last drop of blood in his body to provide
reservation to the maratha community and get them justice. Addressing his second dussehra rally at Azad
Maidan late on tuesday evening, Shinde cut his speech short in an emotional moment. With folded hands and
bowed head, he expressed his serious commitment for maratha reservation. He said, I am also a maratha and I
have fought very hard for the community all my life. I swear before Chhatrapati shivaji Maharaj that the quota
for Marathas will be given without disturbing the reservation of any other group. ... All are our people and there
will be no injustice to any community. I urge the maratha youth not to resort to any desperate step (suicide).
He struggled all his life to reach the position – Shinde
Attacking Shiv Sena-UBT, Shinde said that he comes from a poor farmer family and to reach this position today,
he struggled all his life, faced lathicharge and even went to jail. Shinde said, “How many cases are there against
you, how many times have you been caned? Those who claim to be the heirs of balasaheb Thackeray's legacy
should first examine their conduct... They are not give banks, but take banks. I do not crave power and work as
an ordinary worker, going to Davos (Switzerland) on business or inspecting drains and public toilets in slums...
The cm alleged that uddhav thackeray was coveting the post of cm since 2004 and for this he had sent two
messengers to meet Sharad Pawar. He betrayed balasaheb Thackeray's Hindutva issue.
