At a recent event, florida governor Ron DeSantis offered a strong warning, highlighting the possible security threats connected to unauthorized border crossings into the US. Speaking at a breakfast event in Sin City organized by Never Back Down, a SuperPAC that backs DeSantis's presidential candidature, he expressed worries about the potential for a terrorist strike connected to those who had entered the nation illegally.

He says, "We're going to be able to trace a terrorist attack in this country to somebody coming across the border."

"Things like terrorism still exist in the real world. With an open border that has seen over eight million crossings, it becomes much more real. Do you not believe that our adversaries are scouting that border?

DeSantis also reaffirmed his strong support for israel and his opposition to the proposal—which has the backing of certain left-wing Democrats—to relocate refugees from the Gaza Strip in the United States.

He made the observation, saying, "There are many, like AOC and left-wingers, who want for the US to accept hundreds of thousands of refugees from the Gaza Strip.

"I have said we will bring in zero from the Gaza Strip to the United States," he stated.

DeSantis draws attention to the party differences and security issues that will surface during the 2024 presidential campaign.

The governor of florida said, "Hamas was elected in Gaza. Many of them were on the streets applauding at the time of the assaults. They were simply regular folks, not Hamas militants, and I recall Palestinian Arabs celebrating the fall of the Twin Towers in 2001. They were out celebrating the worst terrorist assault we have ever experienced."

DeSantis found himself lagging behind former President donald trump in the 2024 GOP presidential primary. trump continued to top the polls heading into the november election. trump often outscored the governor of florida by 10 points or more.
