Due to lack of space in coimbatore, authorities canceled the license of VOC Zoo, and the animals kept there were shifted to other areas. In 2022, the Central Zoo Authority canceled the license of VOC Zoo in coimbatore due to insufficient space. As a result, the zoo has been inactive for more than a year, and now the animals and birds here have been relocated. All the animals and birds here are relocated to Vandalur Park, Sathyamangalam tiger Reserve, Vellore Zoo. For this, the Zoological Park Authority officials who came to coimbatore today counted and examined the animals here and carried out the work of relocating them. Today, snakes, crocodiles, monkeys, rose pelicans, etc. are translocated. After that all the animals here are to be relocated.


Speaking about this, VOC Zoo director Saravanan said that the Central Zoo Authority has canceled the license for this due to lack of space in 2022 and thus all the animals here will be relocated to Vandalur, Sathyamangalam and Vellore. He informed that today he will take snakes, monkeys, crocodiles and rose pelican. Today, snakes, crocodiles, monkeys, rose pelicans, etc. are translocated. After that all the animals here are to be relocated.
